Kendall … maybe you should do the Cubs a favor and not tune in during the playoffs til the game is OVER! 🙂
If everybody’s healthy for the playoffs, this could be the Cubbies year. They have the talent, plus a veteran skipper who the players seem to respond to.
Ok, so now I can lay off the Maalox for a couple of weeks until the playoffs start. Then I can start all over again. But, it’s always better to be in the post-season than not.
And Seattle is STILL at the bottom of the league. They set a new club record by losing 100 games this season.
I am going to be seriously conflicted if the Mets and Cubs wind up playing each other in the post season.

Ohhh, but the miracle happened in St. Petersburg! Go Rays.
Cards fan says: now that we’re out I’ll be rooting for your Cubs to go all the way. (I did enjoy delaying the inevitable for a day, though, and knocking Zambrano out after 1 and 1/3 innings).
Oh the look on Ron Santo’s face! And hearing his voice as the last play was called. It will be a relaxing two weeks to be sure.
As a long suffering Texas Rangers fan, I grow weary of any whining by the Cubs when their inevitable misfortune surfaces. Wrigley Field is a nice place to drink beer, but I’m not a fan of its team.
