Exxon supports carbon tax

Exxonmobil corp., the world’s largest crude oil refiner, supports taxing carbon dioxide as the most efficient way of curbing greenhouse gas emissions, its chief executive said.

“As a businessman, it’s hard to speak favourably about any new tax, but a carbon tax strikes me as a more direct, more transparent and more effective approach,” Rex Tillerson, CEO of the Irving, Texas based company, said Thursday at the Woodrow Wilson international center for scholars in Washington.

Definitely more transparent, so transparent that you can see the scam through it.

By the way, global Sea Ice levels are back up to their 1979 levels,

quote: “the rate of increase from September onward is the fastest rate of change on record, either upwards or downwards”
    end quote:

Alaskan and Greenland glaciers are growing again, and global temperatures have been dropping every year for the last twelve months, wiping out the majority of ‘global warming’ effects.

Global warming/cooling/climate change = a natural cycle we have to live with.

Lets be the first First World country to revert to third world status with only two classes, those on top and the rest of us cold and hungry but the rich will really be able to enjoy their pleasure without us cluttering up the roads.

rlw6 – There is a third class – the politicians that throw money to the “lower” class so they can keep getting elected and hold on to their power.

The whole global warming thing is bogus and an attempt to “unifiy” the world under “one government” system. Just like the UN, it has socialism, humanism, and secularism at its root. Run, Forrest, run!!

Actually, reading the article again, they PREFER a carbon tax over a ‘cap and trade’ tax, probably because it will be cheaper for Exxon in the long run!

So it’s not that they buy into the whole Global Warming Scam, it’s that of two bad choices, they are going for the less harmful of the two.
