Quae caret ora cruore nostro? What coast knows not our blood?
Horace
This list is actually arbitrarily short. Asides from Vietnam, which really was not a declared war (though it had “peace negotiations” of a sort to end it), it omits such US belligerent actions as the Barbary Pirates expedition, the US interventions in various countries in the Caribbean and Central America, and the suppression of the Moro Insurrection. In this sense it is interesting that it does list the wars against the Indian nations.
