    I don’t know why Archbishop Orombi thinks religious refugees always go back where they came from. America is a whole nation of religious refugees who never went back – Puritans who never went back to England, Jews who never went back to Europe etc etc.

    The same goes for other countries, like French Huguenots received by England in the 17th century, still there three centuries later.

    On the main point, Archbishop Orombi is entitled to say that other Christians are not Christian, and to receive people from other churches in his church. But he cannot claim to be part of a worldwide Anglican Communion, or any catholic church, if he does not accept that the decision about who is in and who is out is not for any provincial primate, however wise. Although he is entitled to say that border crossing is not as serious an error as misunderstanding or rejecting scripture, there can be no question, whether he likes it or not, that border crossing is simply not permitted in the Anglican Communion, which draws in this respect on very long standing traditions of the undivided Church of the first centuries after Christ.

    This video of over 30 minutes, which seems to have almost nothing to say about anything which is not church politics, as opposed to Christian teaching, is a declaration of contempt for and independence from the Anglican Communion.
