We do need to work on our geography in the US, huh?

Honestly, it was just that seeing the press conference announcement reminded me we haven’t heard any more from Nigeria about the forthcoming retraction of last week’s UPI quotes attributed to Bishop Orama. Wondering if I’ve missed something.
What in the world does a Nigeria bishop have to do with an Ugandan one?
Interesting to me that here you can listen to this Godly man speak – speak with a goodness and clarity so totally missing in TEC and all you can think about is some erroneous report from UPI.
I confess, I was just thanking God that such godly men exist – like B. Orombi – I am SO BLESSED to call him MY Archbishop! Woo Hoo!
Orombi states the central issue very succinctly: “They don’t believe in the centrality of Christ for the salvation of mankind”. Of course this does not apply to every member of TEC but this is the prevalent view among the leadership of TEC.

They’re freaking out over on Thinning Anglicans about this because Orombi with his disarming smile and winsome tone, along with his charismatic evangelicalism, presents a gentler, more ‘British’ style than Akinola, but without differing at all on The Issue (TM).
Untold numbers of Anglicans in the west would *love* to have a bishop like this, who preaches for conversion and prays for healing and deliverance.
So Orombi will become the next hate figure for the lgbtqqers.
Well, as of all things of God, I cannot take any personal claim for that grace of God in my life. However, I am so thankful men like Bishop Orombi took us under their wing.
To the media it’s just about ‘an issue’ for us it was a matter of life or death. To Susan Russell and the like my Archbishop is just ‘the enemy’ – to us his willingness to take a small obscure congregation under his wing and protection gave us the strength and the willingness to struggle on and continue in the Faith.
I personally can attest to the love and kindness I have been given by this man when all who SHOULD have stood for us, all those who SHOULD have come our aid just ignored our pleas for help.
If you had my former bishop you would understand the overwhelming sense of gratefulness when this man speaks – I just am so thankful words fail to convey it.
It was quite gracious of Kevin to allow the BBC and the Wall Street Journal to join in on this press conference.
