Absolutely devastating as a snapshot of the decline.

The notable exception is SC – the Presiding Bishop should rather be studying the success of +Lawrence than vilifying and persecuting him. It’s Alice in Wonderland for sure.

#1, If I were PB I’d have teams of priests going to SC to try and learn what they are doing right. Instead we seem to have teams of attorneys to try and force SC to conform to the rest of the church.

The spirit of Thrasybulus is still alive and well, it would seem.

The national church website that used to have diocesan and parish statistics – episcopalchurch/growth – no longer links to them. Have they beem moved? Or perhaps re-moved?

  4. SC blu cat lady says:

#1 and 2, I have wondered the same thing myself. Then it hit me, the PB is not interested in growing TECUSA. She is interested in her agenda which as far as I can tell does not include actually proclaiming the Gospel. That would result in church growth.

The documents are still there, for the most part, but you have to Google for them.
