I’m looking at a sheet of music for “Easter Song”. It says.. “words and Music Annie Herring copyright 1974”. It was a big favourite around our house when Second Chapter of Acts recorded it in the mid 70’s.
Is this a very old recording or have they never moved on from the eighties?
Correction: The music is ANNIE HERRING’S of the group 2nd Chapter of Acts. Keith Green added the second verse on healing, but she wrote it and they sang it first (and best).
I heard the original (and I agree with libraryjim that it’s the best) by 2nd Chapter of Acts on the radio this morning on the way home from church. It is one of the greatest Easter songs of all time!
