Definitely a man-bites-dog story around here, as KC drivers are generally mellow and polite; totally clueless on regular occasions, but in a dozen years around here I haven’t seen a single example of road rage.
Contrast the east coast, where I used to truck veggies on the Boston to Washington run. Even thirty years ago, east coast driving was full-contact karate.
“Bumping?” Heck, over the years I had seven or eight people get out of their cars and throw things like hamburgers, used diapers, and half-empty soft drink cans at me because they thought I had stopped too close to their car.
Since I’m left-handed I always fantasized returning fire with cabbages. Fortunately (or unfortunately) they were all back in the reefer.
Must be an interesting job description. Perhaps a few NASCAR drivers could be interviewed?
