PLEASE! We need to build that mosque at Ground Zero to show our love to all things mohamaden!

2. Milton Finch says:

One more thing, before I go. 1.5 billion mohommadens in the world and according to liberal views, only a small majority are “radical.” That small minority is as SMALL as only 10 percent! Never fear! Only 10%!!! That’s only 1 million 500 thousand that want and desire to do what these three in Canada were doing! Keep allowing them to build, America, because it is their right! Right?

3. Cennydd13 says:

WRONG!

4. robroy says:

10% of 1.5 billion is 150 million.

5. Milton Finch says:

Oh…check the numbers again Rob. 1.5 million is the correct number.
1million500thousand.

6. Milton Finch says:

Okay…you’re right, Rob. ONE HUNDRED MILLION is (10) PERCENT mark of those that would desire to kill those that don’t belong to “islam’s” ranks.

7. Milton Finch says:

Let’s build another one with our government’s okay, because they allow so many in their sites…right?

8. robroy says:

Actually, from what I researched about 1 in 7 think that attacks on civilians are justified and 30% approve of Osama bin Laden (with 15% approval in Egypt), so that makes about 200 million that approve of attacks on civilians.

I hope that Milton didn’t think that I was being snarky for pointing out a simple arithmetic error. I was trying to say the real numbers are actually worse.

11. robroy says:

I wasn’t trying to be snarky but only pointing out the numbers in Milton’s point were actually higher than he cited.

12. Milton Finch says:

Maybe it was I being the snarky one. I don’t know what led me to say 1 million. I’ve said all along ove the years that it was over one hundred million. It must be my disability taking it’s toll. Sorry.

13. Alta Californian says:

Milton, don’t you see what you’re saying? Okay, so let’s assume that your figures are correct. 90% of 1.5 billion people is 1.35 billion. 1.35 billion peaceful Muslims, according to your own statement. You are suggesting that we deprive 1.35 billion people of their civil rights. Now I know that most of those don’t live in the U.S., but essentially what you’re saying is that 1.35 billion people do not deserve religious liberty. Even as our young servicemen and women risk their lives advancing the cause of freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan, you’re saying they don’t deserve it.

Now I don’t think Islam is by nature a peaceful religion. History has shown that. But if Muslims are peaceful, and own the property they want to build on, and are following the law, even if they have controversial views about the Middle East (as Imam Rauf clearly does), you are suggesting they should be deprived of their civil rights because of the actions of their coreligionists?

Are conservatives only for the Constitution when it is for people we like? Some would argue that it is precisely because the 1st amendment applies to people we dislike that we can be more confident that it will never be denied to us.

14. robroy says:

For the 27 millionth time, no one is talking about taking away “civil rights”. No one is saying that the organizers can’t build there but that they shouldn’t build there if they are really interested in building bridges.

Andrew Klavan has a really funny video concerning the GZM

15. Alta Californian says:

Milton said “allowing them to build”, that sounds like saying they should not be able to build there. And he’s not the only one suggesting so. There are in fact conservatives (by no means in the majority, but they do exist) saying that 1st amendment rights do not apply to Muslims. So yes, some are saying that they “can’t” or at least should “not be allowed” to build there. If it is a matter of propriety and decorum, than I agree, they ought to think better of it. But should they be allowed? Yes, if laws and zoning codes are complied with.

16. robroy says:

Agreed.

17. Milton Finch says:

Alta,
It’s the 10 out of every 100 that bother me. It is a religion that breeds hate consistently. You don’t see 10 out of every 100 Christians blowing things up. When they can change their pattern of behavior then I will change my pattern of thought.

18. NoVA Scout says:

What was the connection between these Canadian arrestees and the project in New York? I thought these guys were in Ontario. What am I missing?

19. Milton Finch says:

Muslims = attending a mosque somewhere.
Mosque= Muslims attending

20. NoVA Scout says:

If no. 19 is supposed to be a response to No. 18, we have severe problems in the cognitive and analytical abilities out there in the population. I take it to mean that the problem is Muslims generally. If so, what’s the plan? 1.5 billion is a big number.
