The evening service from Westminster Abbey with the Pope and ABC and Catholic and Anglican bishops and other UK Christians was probably one of the most remarkable things I have seen. Liturgy was a bit of a mish-mash but the choral singing was excellent and they chucked everything in, thuribles and the lot. Good effort from the Abbey, and a joyous occassion. May blessings flow from this.

There was a palpable joy, and in spite of myself I thought it was wonderful. There was a sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Today I watched the Mass from Westminster Cathedral, with the Pope on home turf. It seems that it was just not us who were moved. AB Nichols referred to yesterday’s “astonishing” events, and the Pope made special mention of his welcome to the ABC, who was present in front seats to the right of the Pope, along with Orthodox and Coptic representatives.
Perhaps this is as things should be: ‘churches together’ as we say over here.
Thank you so much for the link. I listened while at work, taking an occasional peek at the video. I felt truly blessed at the joint benediction.

I agree completely # 2. I was shocked at how deeply moved I was.
