I have noticed that sometimes there is no sound, for example, when the livecast is tracking a motorcade thru London. Do not despair or adjust your sets – the sound does come back up when the studio decides the moment needs it.
Here is a very good comment from the BBC’s Robert Piggott on the BBC liveblog–
“The Pope is doing very well for someone who is naturally a shy academic, and is making every effort to reach out to people on a personal level, says the BBC’s religious affairs correspondent Robert Pigott. The Pope is taking every opportunity possible to meet ordinary members of the crowd, to bless children, and so on, because he knows it is the best way to win people over. ”
Watching the Pope greeting numerous people earlier (The video said it was in Vauxhall I believe), you could see this was true.

Good comments, Terry. I have learned to enjoy the silent parts.

Wow, that young man who just sung in Hyde Park was fabulous.
BBC says it was Teenage Britain’s Got Talent singer Liam McNally.
