Am I the only one… I was able to view and download the church charts a few days ago when they first came out (conveniently enough, after the HOB meeting), but now I get the “website not found” message. Is it simply my computer, or are they now unavailable to everyone? Inquiring minds want to know!
Hmmmmm…just gave it a try, and 1 & 2 are correct – the TEC site does not seem to be available. Good thing NPA got the South Dakota info up in a timely way, huh?
Try Stand Firm and see if any of their links to the stats are working…
I also get the message “The page cannot be found”. I clicked on “Questions and Feedback” at the top in order to send an email but that also appears to not be working. Maybe we should make a phone call to Headquarters?
I had no trouble viewing the Charts when they first came out.
I think that TEC needs to upgrade their servers. When I selected my diocese from the dropdown list and clicked on the “View Diocese Chart”, the URL for the “Page Not Found” page that resulted can be parsed as follows, substituting spaces in place of the “%20” space encodings:

Caught exception in Build_PDF(): Not enough memory for operation.[/blockquote]
As an alternative, maybe TEC could run the Congregational Development site off of DBB’s new litigation laptop instead. 😉
Try this URL: http://12.0.101.92/Charts.aspx I dimly recall a similar problem last year, which is why I have the numeric address. As of mid-day Tuesday, it is still working.
The ink is vaporizing so fast off those bar graphs that it has created a semi-permanent “vapor lock” (fear not: it is soy ink vapor) on the website. Due to technical difficulties (the diversion of capital outlay budget items from the IT department to the Legal Department) these reports will not be available again anytime soon.

I worked in South Dakota last summer as a seminarian intern and had a great experience in the diocese. Unfortunately, the diocese does not have any money, and a lot of parishes (as are rural towns in general) are declining in ASA. The good news is that I think a lot of the churches that I visited were pretty solid.

That’s what happens when a church follows an agenda and not 2000 years of church teaching,
