NW Bob guessed 10,000. Boy was I off. My dad and his two brother are among them at ages 88, 90, and 92. God bless them all.

I guessed somewhere under 100,000. Way off too. I guess there’s something to be said for extended life expectancy these days. Ditto on God’s blessings.

I was interested to read here

that 850 WWII Veterans pass away daily.

Estimates of the number who fought in WW2 are debated but most put the number between 13-16 million. So at the high estimate we are now down to 1/8 of those who served then being still alive now.

May God bless all who served and serve and their families.

My dear Daddy is 92 this year and served in both the Pacific and the North Atlantic during WW II and during Korea (Navy!). He’s going to an awful lot of funerals these days.
