Mr Graham lives Matthew 10:16; good for him.

ABC News would do well to report on how the Moslems in East Africa are giving aid coupled with religion; if it is wrong for Samaritan’s Purse to perform its low-key evangelism; then surely it is wrong – and newsworthy- for proponents of another religion to offer more vocal money-with-evangelism. Oh, but I forget; that would not be politically correct.

Franklin Graham and his organization carry on the tradition of Christian charity just as Christians have in the past; he offers the gifts of food for the body and food for the soul knowing that we need both to survive. The Samaritan’s Purse is truly a worthy Christian charity.

Good piece, particularly for secular tv.

  4. Rich Gabrielson says:

How does the relief work of Graham’s detractors compare to that of Samaritan’s Purse? Coverage of the alternatives’ efforts is conspicuously absent.

I went to Kenya on a cleft trip with Samaritan’s purse. It was a fabulously well run mission and I got a personal letter of thanks from Franklin Graham, himself (well he signed it). Their Christmas gift catalog should be part of all Christian families. You can give a goat or chicken or whatever in the name of others. Prices vary from $10 for a malaria net to tens of thousands for a school or clinic. (If you give a school, I bet you will get a personal letter, too.)
