From the Email Bag

Dear Kendall,

I have been appreciating your website “TitusOneNine” for almost two years now and I thought it was time to send you a brief note of gratitude for your service. I am.. [an] Anglican priest in the diocese of.. [ ] and someone pointed me to your website shortly after we [arrived in our current locale]… while I was discerning my call to the priesthood. Anyway, I normally read your site once a day and find it most helpful….

….I won’t bore you with too many other details of my life. Again, I appreciate your website. Every blessing upon you in Christ for your continued service.

With much gratitude,…

I am wondering why you would not want your name, location published in your posting. Is there a reason your name, etc has been omitted?

  2. Kendall Harmon says:

This is from a blog reader, to be clear. I do not publish that kind of information without explicit permission, and not always even then.

Just a way to honor people’s own situations in the time in which we find ourselves.

I think we understand, Kendall, and I respect your reasoning.

Add me to those who value this website, with its frequent stimulus to thinking and prayer. I value also its ability to join the faith of the ages with the needs and problems of the present day. Finally, while Kendall is always faithful, he allows a breadth of expression which insists only on the bounds of charity.

I agree, and I am truly grateful for the resources, tenor, intelligence, mainstream approach, and dialogue provided by this blog.

I’ve always been a fan of T19 since the early days of our current Anglican crisis in 2003. But what I value most about the site has changed over the years.

Given that my computer time and internet access has decreased dramatically the past 2 years due to a number of circumstances , I find T19 a wonderful help in keeping up with some of the U.S. & international political & economic news. Being overseas in Africa, it’s so easy to get consumed by my day to day ministry and lose touch with the broader world. This and the BBC World Service news headlines page are the two sites I pretty much frequent whenever I’m online. I still keep an eye on the Anglican headlines, sure, but it’s not what draws me most to T19 these days.

Thanks Kendall for finding and sharing so many great articles with us.
