Berlin’s senate said doctors could legally circumcise infant boys for religious reasons in its region, given certain conditions, ending months of legal uncertainty after a court banned the practice this year.
The ruling in June by a district court in Cologne outraged Muslims and Jews and sparked an emotional debate in the country.

Apparently what has worked for 3500 years or so now needs to be ‘regulated.’
It should come as no surprise as many are advocating a redefiniton of marriage that has worked reasonably well over the millenia. In any case, here in the US, a popular radio doctor gets energized over circumcision using a variety of adjectives to voice his disgust over circumcision and in the same program blandly advocates abortion. One he describes as medically unnecessary, the other as a matter of choice, never mind the innocent life lost.
