Strange, when I checked the news last (2 hours ago) only 3% of the precients had reported in, and of those Obama was way out ahead. Two hours makes that big of a difference?
At that time, 10% of the Republican precients had checked in and they were already declaring Romney the winner. I wish the news outlets would wait until 98% report in to declare a winner. 🙄
1 Its called ‘scooping the story’ when they get it right first, and ‘another “Dewey Beats Truman”‘ when they don’t. Anyway, why wait for 98 when 95 will do, and then why wait for 95….
Here in the northern end of the Valley — upper-middle-class and retirees, mostly — Romney was unstoppable in the caucuses. I understand that different Democratic caucuses ran their procedures different ways, but everyone agrees that the Clinton folks were well-organized, well-funded (stickers and posters all over the caucus sites), and very aggressive.
When judging the political significance of Nevada, particularly with reference to Romney, remember that there is a very large Mormon population here in Vegas, fwiw.
The actual ward caucuses were over by noon (Pacific Time), for the most part, by the way.

Yes, one would think they’d have learned their lesson.
Great to see that Obama actually won more delegates than HRC.
