I used to put insolvent insurance companies into receivership. This is just starting. In terms of assets you have cash and stuff. They have a lot of stuff and no cash.
Yep. And the Fed can pump all the cheap money they want into this, but everyone is risk averse at this point. Unless the Fed starts making direct home loans, things will get a lot worse before they get better.
