Did You Know?

Yesterday Congressman Todd Tiahrt of Kansas asked for a roll call vote in favor of mother’s day in the midst of tussling over the funding bill which includes funding for the war. For the record, Congress voted in favor of mother’s day 412-0. You can’t make this stuff up.

    Business as usual. No discussion. No anti – mom stories. How about those bad mothers? Do they get a free ride. How about those super moms? No special recognition and possibly an extra rebate check…….sigh

    A “roll call vote?” Obviously, it wasn’t enough to have a unanimous voice vote. Maybe they needed a little light diversion in the midst of the controversy over the war funding bill. Hilarious.

    But on a serious note, I’ll believe they really support motherhood when they do something significant to reduce the outrageous number of abortions in this country.
