Welsh Church ”˜will not cater for traditionalists’

The Church in Wales will not appoint a new “flying bishop” for traditionalists, Archbishop Barry Morgan said on Sept 17, saying the position was no longer necessary nor was such a post consistent with Anglican ecclesiology. Those opposed to the ordination of women still had a place with the Church in Wales, he said and asked traditionalists to trust the bishops to look after their interests.

The decision comes as a repudiation of the work of Dr Rowan Williams, traditionalists charged, as the former Bishop of Monmouth was instrumental in creating the post of “flying bishop” 12 years ago, and marks a hardening of positions in the Welsh Church.

Traditionalist leaders took little comfort from the bishops’ assurances of continued support. The Rev Alan Rabjohns, Chairman of Credo Cymru, Forward in Faith Wales said “this is a disappointing and sad statement.”

This is a disgrace. And they wonder in England why we traditionalists are loathe to trust them in a simple code of practice…Wales has just opted to offer lame terminal care to Catholic Anglicans. From this day on it is a liberal protestant sect…

How sad – that those with so much power cannot even offer us a paltry corner in which to witness. Liberal my a*se – the inclusive church are fascist to the core and seek to narrow the church in tradition, scope and understanding,

Where orthodoxy is optional, sooner or later, orthodoxy will be proscribed.

So said the spider to the fly. Why do liberals think we will continue to swallow their facist swill? It is time for Rowan to go and for the Anglican Communion to be reformed. It must be done with a covenant that is EXCLUSIONARY. If you can’t sign on the Christianity, your out.

All this pressure on Anglo-Catholics, unjust and wicked, may in the end be the very thing that brings about the New Oxford Movement. Let them keep up the fire and soon they will have diamonds to reckon with!
    “What Are Diamonds Made Of?
Actually the same stuff that coal and your pencil lead is made of – carbon, the atoms are just arranged in a way that make the bonds very strong.
The bonds are formed when carbon is at very high temperatures and under very high pressures. Natural diamonds are made deep down in the earth, about 180km below the surface, where high temperatures and pressures exist naturally. Under the earths crust is the mantel, which is made up of molten rock, metals and other materials. The temperature is very high at this depth – between 1100oC and 1400oC. The high pressures are produced by the weight of 180 km of rocks pressing down on it.”

See the future of the Global North inclusivist policy diversely held by TEC, CoE, Wales … marching onward to who knows where.

Congratulations, the new Global North TEC is emergent! Gloria steinem in excelsis et bella abzugism gratia! The “tolerated” who are about to die, salute ya’ll.

While I do have some issues with “flying bishops,” I literally snorted when I read this. And why should the bishops be trusted? They have not gone out of their way to instill trust. Traditionalists were assured of many things over the years, only to see those so called iron-clad promises eroded one by one by one.

Not to sound crass, but I seem to recall an old adage about the wisdom of allowing foxes to guard henhouses.

agreed#7 – truth is that even if they think they want t be caring- it is equally true they would rather we did not exist- that will never lead to them granting us space or a fair rub of the green.

Put it this way- we were PROMISED an honoured place in the C of E in 1992. Yet virtually no one who does not agree with women’s ordination has been given preferment since then. Just one xample but a crucial one. What they mean is they will provide terminal care in a smug superior way whilst refusing us space to flourish…a clear breach of the promises made.
