That’s going to leave a mark!
These days, anyone on the Internet would know the word “Fisking,” both its denotation and connotation. Theology has so many rich and specific words. Is there an existing highbrow term? Just curious.
APB – How about “I find your exegetical and hermunetical models sorely lacking” – that has the benefit of two five syllable words that most people don’t understand and it sounds polite to boot!
Of course, it lacks the simplicity and directness of “fisking.”

More clarity for the local readers. Thanks, Tony!

Phil,
“I find your exegetical and hermunetical models sorely lacking.”
Great! I shall file that one away for future use.
