Quad City Times: Episcopal Church split in Quincy might turn into conflict over property

Fallout from the weekend decision by the Diocese of Quincy, Ill., to leave the Episcopal Church of the United States may include litigation over millions of dollars’ worth of property and assets.

“We pray there will be no litigation,” the Rev. Ed den Blaauwen said Monday. Den Blaauwen, the rector of Christ Church in Moline, is also the newly appointed vicar general of the diocese that is now aligned with the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone, based in Argentina.

Church resources would be better used for Christian activities than in the courts, he added.

Well, isn’t that one of the problems? ECUSA sees the courts as a Christian activity. If the ends justify the means…..

Yeah, Right…KSJ not sue for the property…she will spend untold amounts of money without a single thought about Christian witness

Property trumps Christian witness and even (praise and blessings be upon them) the MDGs. Millions for litigation (literally) and 0.7% to lobby government on behalf of the poor. For the poor, not so much.
This analysis is based on the past actions of the PB, David Beers, and the actions from the East Coast to the West Coast in the name of the glorious revolution to the NEW THANG GOZPEL (C) of the ECUSA/TEC/GCC/EO-PAC.
