    Nice, Kendall.
BTW, reading through, I did notice the “no more EFM” notice.
    Just saying I saw it……

  2. Pb says:

The comment on EFM is interesting. In my diocese you can not become a deacon unless you have been purged from any remant of fundametalism by 4 years of Education for Ministry. By then you have learned that the bible is the evolution of man’s (oops humankind’s) understanding of God.

May I highly recommend CFP from Trinity. I am getting ready to begin the 4th year and would not trade what I have learned for anything!

  4. Grandmother says:

Canon Harmon, I heard this week that Fr. Anthony is NOT coming to St. Mary’s.. Apparently the new priest is one who came from NC.

I heard this from a parishoner who is very disappointed..

Thanks, Kendall. Wonderful newsletter! I enjoyed reading about John Zahl’s ordination at Holy Cross and also Craig Stephans report on going to Trinity. Great pictures, too. Bless them all (and you too).

    Grandmother,

For clarity, St. Andrew’s website at http://www.samp.cc, which I have found to pretty accurate and up to date, lists Anthony Kowbeidu as the vicar at St. Mary’s.

    All the best,
    Catherine

Rico Tice, CE and New Wine. My my! oceans do not divide – and look who the editor is; how does he find the time.

A fine paper and an interesting read.

  8. TreadingGrain says:

Anthony is, in fact, the Vicar of St. Mary’s. This change was effective 1 July 2007,

That’s refreshing to read that there’s hope for the World and the Church apart from the Millenium Development Goals (“blessings be upon them” as is always invoked over at the Midwest Conservative Journal). I’m just saying… 😉

Not that this ole’ boy is anyone’s definition of a liberal, but what exactly is the beef with EFM? I took a year of EFM and have looked through the rest of the course materials and I don’t think its really that bad, as compared to some of the stuff that is out there.

  10. Pb says:

The prooblem with EFM is what is not in the materials either omitted or augmented. In my diocese it is used to further the agenda of the current thinking in the Episcopal church. It is better than the Labyrinth Project and Veraditas. Their material does not pass the smell test.

  11. The_Archer_of_the_Forest says:

Pb, I could see that. The Church is good at misusing resources to further its own political and theological ends.
