From the Morning Scripture Readings

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.

–Galatians 6: 7-9

It felt very good to wake up this morning and read this here. I am much more ready for this day, now. Thank you

I remember an article by Bp. Anthony Burton (I think it showed up in The Anglican Digest some years ago) in which he mentioned reaching an age in life in which the consequences of past compromises start to catch up with one.
At 50, I’m feelin’ that, to be sure.
So I’m thankful for the last line of the passage – gotta keep at what God wants now and not lose heart.
