What a contrast to find this right after the article on teen hookups. Love has lost its meaning to many teens and has no connection to sex.

This article and John Paul II’s Theology of the Body tell the story of what is sacred, holy, pure, lovely, true, good, right, responsible, joyful….the opposite of the earlier one.

In the mid nineties, a group of kids in a prosperous commuter community just south of Atlanta started experimenting sexually (parents both worked in Atlanta) and ended up creating a sexual disease epidemic that shocked the Center for Disease Control. These were young teens, some were middle schoolers who had hundreds of partners.
