  1. Dan Crawford says:

The screams of outrage from the left suggest that the real American brownshirts and fascists call themselves liberals and will do anything to suppress anyone or any idea they don’t like. I am particularly appalled by their ludicrous notion that People for the American Way, Barney Frank, Planned Parenthood and every gay “human rights” organization elected Mr. Obama. Had that been true, Mr. McCain would be the President-elect.

What they want is a president for just one part of the country. Pack your bags.

  3. Creedal Episcopalian says:

The left (and the democratic party since 1968) has become a collection of special interest groups, who can win if they cooperate for the same objective. After the successful media demonization of Bush, they now have the reins of power, but the object that prompted their coalescence has now exited the stage.
This is only the beginning of the disintegration of the coalition, as each group’s special interest becomes more important than collective interest, and each group fights for their own rice pile.
I’m gonna make popcorn. It will be a fun show.

  4. Larry Morse says:

#3. ha ha ha I wouldn’t be surprised if you turn out to be right (not left). Coalitions are fragile things, bedmates who want the warmth the others bring. But when the hot weather comes: Get your own bed; this is mine. Larry

I can see how those criticizing President-elect Obama for choosing Rick Warren gives good fodder for conservative criticism, but it strikes me that the fringe on both the right and the left behave the same way. I noticed the CNN commentators criticizing Obama last night admitted that nothing was going to change the decision and eveyrone would just have to get past it.

I think this is mostly a media outrage fed by frustration that the President-elect hasn’t managed to do something substantively wrong or annoying yet. Heck, even Gov. Blagojevich trashed him for his refusal to play ball. . .
