I was laughing so hard at this one, I was about in tears. That doesn’t happen too often with commercials.

2. drjoan says:

In my opinion the Anheuser Busch horses were STILL the best commercials!

3. Philip Snyder says:

I liked the “new” Mean Joe Green comercial the best – even if my son didn’t “get” it.

YBIC,
Phil Snyder

4. Kendall Harmon says:

The horse running to get the large branch in the bud ad was super also.

5. Bill McGovern says:

I thought it was the worst. It was annoying.

Has our world really contracted to the point that advertisements set forth the definition of “funny”, “interesting”, or “entertaining”?

I’m not apologetic in the least to say that there should be more to our lives than saying “the so-and-so ad during the Superbowl was great!” Remember, these ads do nothing whatsoever to alleviate suffering or hunger, in spite of the fact that there are hundreds of millions of dollars at stake in advertising for this one sports contest. *Are* the ads humorous and/or entertaining? I didn’t watch, so I can’t say. But I have to feel that those who get such amusement out of watching these ads are supporting a horribly disconnected reality.

I am a sports fan; I love hockey, and have season tickets. And every year the local children’s hospital has a program where you can pledge a certain amount to be donated for every goal scored by the home team. If only this same approach were to be taken regarding the Super Bowl; advertisers offering to forward (or, better yet, match) contributions based on the score……….

Good choice, that was my top as well! Ooh, the giggles continued until the next break.

The Mean Troy Green was good also, and the Coke insect heist was pretty cool too. Coke definitely beat Pepsi, and The Bud Light ads were simply off the mark

8. Mithrax+ says:

Irritated me at the third repetition.

Annoyed me at the 5th.

Makes me very very glad I cancelled my tv service….and also makes me long for the days of the Bud Bowl.

Now this: Puppy Bowl was the best!

9. Connecticutian says:

Loved the game, tried to get some tasks done during the commercials, so I couldn’t pick a favorite. But I can say I was thoroughly turned off by two in particular. I can’t even recall what it was for (serves ’em right!) but in one case a guy did something and woman’s clothes blew off… in the end he thankfully gets hit by a bus. The other was perpetually-offensive GoDaddy, with the showering Danica Patrick. My kids don’t need to see that trash, and I don’t appreciate it.

10. libraryjim says:

My favorite was the Coke insect heist
second was the Frosted Flakes ‘growing’ a ball field.

Amen, Connecticution. The ad sponsored by VoteCatholic.org (the ad with a sonogram of a baby in the womb) was not aired by NBC because it was ‘political’ and ‘offensive,’ but the GoDaddy commercials and commericials for horror movies get aired with no problem.

12. libraryjim says:

selah,
NBC also nixed the P.E.T.A. ad, thankfully!

13. D Hamilton says:

This commercial hit too close to home ……..
but it was funny as I join the woman screaming in her car!

14. The_Archer_of_the_Forest says:

Yeah, I thought the GoDaddy commercials were just plain creepy.

15. RalphM says:

The subject ad was annoying and I did not remember the product being advertised. When a company dumps $$ into an ad and it does not plant brand recognition and recall into the mind of the viewer, it’s a total waste. A pretty unimaginative lot…

16. azusa says:

This annoyed the life out of me – & I can’t see what is remotely funny in punching a koala. Kindness, anyone?

17. A Floridian says:

As Judas might have said, ‘the money recently spent on the Super Bowl and covering Wall Street a—s, coulda funded the MDGs thriceover’.

Though I’d love to see an end to world hunger, the pansexual agenda has tainted and planted harm in the MDG provenance and most of the funds will go to evil leaders coffers.

The Church is the proper and best venue for real redemption, for healing and reconciliation (internal, external and eternal: reconciliation to God) and for feeding and focusing of spirit, soul and body, and for changing minds and lives to productive benevolent living.
