Anglican Church of Canada parishes in Waterloo Region should soon be able to hold services to celebrate the relationships of gay parishioners, but they won’t be blessing same-sex marriages for at least another year — if ever.

I don’t see anyone celebrating the relationships of heterosexuals.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. While they are not pressing the prophetic-style of movement (Niagara, New West) in terms of SSB they have commissioned a group to reflect on all documents from Windsor to Galilee (recent report from the ACoC on the issue of whether SSB is a ‘Spirit-led’ movement), to determine whether or not to form a possible liturgy for use in the Bishops’ ‘pastoral response’ model, without a nuptial blessing. The trouble of course, is that this is quite reminiscent of the decision made by the Diocese of Toronto. The language being used in these cases provides a very slippery slope to blessing same sex relationships.
Elves, could you please erase my comment? I had not read the post below this one which articulates what I communicated above. Thanks. OP
If you want to say that the blessing of same sex unions is a work of the Holy Spirit, then I suggest we test the spirits using the Biblical tests given by Paul in Galatians 5 and by John in 1 John.

Simply put, the Spirit simply clarifies and gives insight to the Church in its discernment into what has already been spoken by God in Scripture. To argue otherwise is idolatry: invoking a god to justify one’s own actions.

I believe it’s called holy matrimony … or marriage.
No doubt their study will be even more enlightening than millenia. The outcome is already decided- to proceed. SSBs remain sex sin blessings, however.
A church which blesses sin? Wowzer, that ought to bring ’em in!
Yeah. It’s worked wonders for ECUSA/TEC/GCC/EO-PAC since, oh, 2003. They’ve been growing by leaps and bounds…in an inverted sense.
