Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair and a woman were found shot to death Saturday inside a residence in Nashville, police said.
Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that authorities were called to a condominium and found McNair and a woman shot to death inside. Aaron said police don’t yet know the circumstances of the shootings.
“I don’t have any answers for you now as to what’s happened, who’s responsible,” Aaron said.

Aside from the murders themselves, a lot could be. The lass in question might have been running a food bank collection and McNair there to drop off some groceries, for example. Or she could have been a friend of the family getting a lift home. But I’m thinking this was not such an innocent situation…

Mr. McNair was found with multiple gunshot wounds. His companion with only one. The weapon was found nearby and the police are reportedly not searching for suspects. We don’t need Rembrandt to paint this picture for us, elven-kind.
