This is a troubled moribund diocese. Let’s pray for a dynamic reasserting leader to arise from this election.
The reporter is from Columbus, which is near Alabama, which is where Henry Parsley is Bishop. Current Bp of GA is also a Henry, but his last name is Loutitt. His father was Bp of D. of South FL (then) and was one of the Bishops who brought heresy charges against Bp Pike way back when, fyi.
the facts are not correct. There are two candidates from the Diocese. Rev. Frank Logue and Rev. William Willoughby are both from the Diocese of Georgia. Please do pray for the delegates as they convene.
Indeed, there is one candidate from the bishop of Atlanta, which takes in Columbus, which is where this post originated. “One candidate is from this diocese, (meaning) the Diocese of Atlanta.”
I knew Scott Benhase at VTS. He was a pleasant guy. However, I think that St John’s will be able to discern their direction a little more clearly from this election – and it will not be an encouragement to stay.
Uh, I think they need to double check their facts. Henry Parsley isn’t bishop of Georgia.
