Maybe I am missing something, but where is the download of the report?

[Top right of the first link Brian – in full and abridged form, although the link does seem to be having problems loading – Elf]

  2. RalphM says:

“over 400 congregations were asked to participate in
an online survey for the project. The researchers received more than 1,000 responses”

    2.5 responses per congregations? wow!

  3. A Senior Priest says:

Point One: Note – CREDO Foundation is funded by the Church Pension Fund. Possible breach of fiduciary duty.
Point Two: Note – ‘Episcopal’ vs Anglican Identity, in line with the current project of individuating TEC from the Anglican Communion just in case they get kicked down to the second string.

  4. Paula Loughlin says:

From the report “In interviews, Episcopal leaders frequently
mentioned dispersed authority as a unique marker of Episcopal Church identity. Dispersed authority in this context means a
system of Church authority that is neither centralized nor tightly hierarchical. There is no arch-episcopacy, and the Presiding Bishop
of the Episcopal Church is regarded as first among equals (primus inter pares), similar to how the various primates of the Anglican
Communion have understood the position of the Archbishop of Canterbury.”

It is the last part of this statement that has me puzzled I did not think this was how the office of Presiding Bishop was viewed. Am I wrong?

As usual the video seems to portray us as nothing more than the Department of Social Services. Yes; times are tough. Yes; people are hurting. But we are to give a “cup of cold water IN MY (Jesus’ )NAME…” ,not just to do good works.

Where, oh WHERE in this creative video was the Church called to honor Christ and present exclusively CHRIST as we help to heal hurts?

    Nowhere.

Interesting that the survey said that a lot of Episcopalians don’t see us as emphasizing salvation enough. That is…emphasizing how Jesus saves “what was lost”.

This video must have been produced by the very people that the other people were thinking of.
