The Air Force Academy has set aside an outdoor worship area for Pagans, Wiccans, Druids and other Earth-centered believers, school officials said Monday.
A double circle of stones atop a hill on the campus near Colorado Springs has been designated for the group, which previously met indoors.
“Being with nature and connecting with it is kind of the whole point,” said Tech. Sgt. Brandon Longcrier, who sponsors the group and describes himself as a Pagan. “It will dramatically improve that atmosphere, the mindset and the actual connection.”
Hey brother, what is it we’re fighting for? Oh yeah, a freedom thing.
Just how does this move to please and accommodate pagans and wiccans increase our military readiness? How does this make our nation more secure than it was before? Add to this the repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy and I think we’ve got ourselves a real winner — for the enemy. Somewhere in the hills of Afghanistan, enemy terrorist soldiers are waking up to the fact that the American military is pretty much handing them the war. After all, who couldn’t defeat a pack of queer tree huggers?
elves …. please this is a little over the top.
The TEC was taken over by pagans because most Episcopalians were more interested in an easy and sociable Christianity than in being Christian. These pagans at the academy are making the kind of hard choices that Episcopalians have demonstrated that they don’t have the stomach to make. Good for them.
I think #1 is concerned about something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol5Dfs7jqFI
