The head of the Anglican Church has urged Kenyans to have a peaceful referendum.
Archbishop Eliud Wabukala said in a statement on Thursday that divisions that now exist could have been avoided had the government heeded religious leaders’ calls to revise the draft constitution.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” I hope that the elections are indeed not spoiled by violence. But the government has only itself to blame for creating a situation that’s extremely volatile.
Lord, have mercy. And uphold your servant, the brave and noble ++Eliud Wabukala.
