Fr. Harmon, I always find visiting children at college a delightful chance for a getaway weekend. I hope your church schedule allows for something like this for you, even if it is during the week. It is interesting, too, to seek out Anglican parishes in distant cities. I have worshipped at a storefront church in one city and another start-up at an elementary school.
One of mine goes away tomorrow. And since my kids live at opposite ends of the West Coast, alas Adam 12, there’s no such getaway available for me. Especially since I work on Sundays. 🙂
I have always enjoyed the pictures of your children. It is a comfort for me to see obvious discipline and a sense of inner beauty that shows in face and dress.
The ultimate gifts left the Church by Saint Peter, himself, in 2 Peter chapter 1. Few today take their inheritance seriously.

Welcome to Nashville, Nathaniel! If you’re looking for a good Episcopal Church, I can recommend a couple.
God bless ’em.
Kendall, I’m happy to be a resource for Nathaniel if he needs anything here in Nashville!
Vanderbilt has a beautiful campus. You will thoroughly enjoy Nashville and the surrounding communities.
Just took my daughter back to Bellarmine University in Louisville on Tuesday to start her sophomore year. I already miss my buddy.
I was the youngest of three boys and the last to leave home. I remember my amazement when I came back from my first semester at university (45 years ago!) and my parents commented ‘The house seemed so quiet without you’, which was their way of saying that they had missed me.
You and your children are always welcome at Church of the Redeemer (AMiA) here in Nashville.
