(London) Times: Archbishop signals a change of attitude on same sex unions

The Archbishop of Canterbury has called for an “urgent” debate on homosexual clergy, signalling a possible liberalisation of the Church of England’s attitude to the issue.

In his presidential address to the General Synod, Dr Rowan Williams criticised extremists on both sides of the debate as “unthinking”….

    Consider it more likely, based on prior inaction, that this is the unveiling publically of the privately held views of the ArchDitherer, whose body’s grace has wrecked the Body’s grace in the former Anglican Communion. Having ignored the Dominical advice to cut off the member of the body causing sin, the whole body is lost.

    I would like to be wrong, of course, but I doubt it – and not enough to subscribe so as to confirm my suspicions.
