Yep. put this up on my FB page. Actually, what these people are celebrating is not Christ’s birth but some sort of mid winter secular buying spree. If they want to do so, great. As for me, Christmas is about Christ’s birth and that is best celebrated at church.
Christmas has become a corporate holiday, about gifts and buying things of material. Christ it has been said was not even born in December but the experts believe due to the description of the stars most likely was born in the spring. The point is every day we should celebrate the birth of Christ, not with presents, but with living as the example he left for us, and that is living life the way he did by giving love, unconditional love! to all, even to those hated by the society of that current period.
