Historically they should regard GC 2003 as the most important meeting since the Civil War. VGR’s approval by that rush-job conventioneering is more remarkable than the post-Fort Sumter meetings they attended and comment upon. I didn’t know that this level of hubris could be so blatantly exhibited with the expectation that it would be taken seriously – either on a historical knowledge basis nor on historical action basis.
I was interested to read that this is prophetic. Maybe that is why it is so hard to understand what they are saying.
