Beautiful story…autistic children are indeed angels, bringing immense challenges–and joy. My niece and her husband have three boys, all on the Autism Spectrum. I would encourage all to view the PBS special which ran in April http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/robert-macneil-returns-to-pbs-newshour-to-report-on-autism-today-118854119.html. (My family were in segment 3.)

A DVD of the entire series has just been released, and can be had a discount at http://pbs.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8aa1c620fd96b27384151c36e&id=3d86d4b1a9&e=8916f136a4

This is really eye-opening. Karen Kingsbury has written some about it from a Christian perspective in “Unlocked;” Jodi Picault in “House Rules.” I pray for God’s hand in the lives of these families and God’s hand on the research that helps to unlock those secret parts of the autistic person’s mind.
