    I had read this article and to be honest, I had blurred over this remarkable figure. To put it in perspective, Revenues of the U.S. have averaged 18% of GDP, thus any spending over this means deficits. We are currently at 25% spending – the highest since WWII. That European governments are at twice this level is staggering.
