Yup — that’s what our current TEC leaders think of the meaning of Advent. “Prepare ye the way for blessing sexual acts occurring between two men or two women.”
[blockquote]”make straight the way for the Lord”? [John 1:23][/blockquote]
Well not exactly – just looks like another example of TEC purple shirts proof-texting in public.
Such impiety.
TEC to God – “You’re not the boss of me!” Just what my two year old used to tell me when I would not let her do something she wanted to do, like play with the electrical outlet.
Please could people be careful in comments in terms of boundaries and propriety.

Nice.
Unsurprising too.

Are you sure this is not an early April Fool’s Day joke?
Remind me again of why I (and the large majority of the Diocese of Pittsburgh) should have stayed part of the Episcopal Church
They really believe that they are on a mission from God, and I have the blues brothers (and sister).
I’m sure this is interesting to somebody, but I doubt any of my LGBT friends would be interested.
Subscribe. Out of deference to Kendall’s #1 I will refrain from further comment for the time being.

Not surprising at all.
So much for the John the Baptist type-Advent message of turning away from sin…the new Advent message? “Embrace it”…
Eeew.
“Please could people be careful in comments in terms of boundaries and propriety.”
Kendall is this your instruction to your readers or to the SCLM?
“Make straight..” I wonder if the new thang advocates at TEC can appreciate the irony.
