(CBN) Anglican Fever: Youth Flock to New Denomination

For decades young people have flocked to seeker-friendly churches that feature culturally relevant services and a casual environment.

Now, a new denomination that emphasizes tradition and centuries-old sacraments and practices is drawing them in.

This is good news for the ACNA. When students have gathered for worship in a core group on or near a campus, it has often historically resulted in the establishment of collegiate churches, and it won’t surprise me if this movement spreads to other colleges and universities.

St. Peter’s Tallahassee has a very active College Ministry at Florida State University. The Sunday evening ”Veritas” college service (with contemporary music, but prayer book liturgy) is quite well attended, as is the Lenten Stations of the Cross on campus.

    Peace.
