The Archbishops and Bishops of the Church of Ireland will host a conference on the subject of ”˜Human Sexuality in the context of Christian Belief’ at the Slieve Russell Hotel, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan on Friday the 9th and Saturday 10th March 2012, beginning at 4.00pm on Friday and concluding at 5.00pm on Saturday.
The bishops believe that it will be helpful to the church for members of General Synod to explore and discuss issues of human sexuality in the informal setting of a conference.
More discussion… But the interesting thing is that they plan to look at human sexuality with the help of Scripture. When they compare that with they the “contemporary” view of human sexuality, I wonder if what they will find is not only the vast divergence between those two sources but also something much more important: The need to evangelize and disciple adherents into a Biblical worldview? Doing that effectively could change a lot of things.
Perhaps – but modernists are experts at twisting Scripture into saying what they want it to say.
Next on the agenda, a public referendum on each of the Ten Commandments.
