[blockquote]The Canadian Council of General Synod sent a statement to the Archbishop of Canterbury, spiritual head of the Anglican Communion, asking him to tell the Southern Cone to stop its actions to set up a parallel authority in Canada.
So far Archbishop Rowan Williams has not responded to that request.[/blockquote]
Now that is fascinating. Not responded. It’s one thing to not respond to a reporter or a blogger, but since recent evidence shows that the ABC takes time to respond to individual bishops who write, I am impressed by this non response to the Canadian Council of General Synod. I can hardly wait to read his Advent letter to the Primates.
What saith the ABC?
DEFG?
HI!
For all the build-up, I’m sure this letter is going to be a let-down. What can the primate say of substance? The formal declaration of a sand-box war?
The Gordian, go back to Nov. 16 posts at T19, Stand Firm, and Ruth Gledhill…the ABC said that ++Venebles’ plan looked good to him.
According to the second link’s text, Hiltz is essentially going to morph into KJS: a lawsuit-filin’ machine.
“Canadian Primate to issue pastoral letter”
Another lupine “pastoral letter”?

Must not do anything that might loose him the moral high ground.

I doubt that there will be anything much pastoral about it, not if what the Globe and Mail reported is any indication.
