After years of stalled efforts, Connecticut is close to legalizing medical marijuana.
The state Senate approved the bill early Saturday morning following nearly 10 hours of debate. The measure passed the House of Representatives in April, and Gov. Dannel Malloy, a Democrat, has said he would sign it. The move would make Connecticut the 17th state, along with the District of Columbia, to legalize medical marijuana.
Just more dancing around the problem, which is prohibition. For at least much of the last 150 years we have had governments in this country trying to tell people how to live their lives. And it isn’t working any better today than it did in the 1920’s. The general ignorance of history in the United States really should be a national scandal.
1, why not legalize it completely? Just remember that society will have to pick up the tab, and we will need vast government expansion to properly regulate it.

That was what I was suggesting. The taxes will more than make up for any regulatory expenses and it is far less dangerous than alcohol or tobacco.
