Prayers ascending for the indicted bishops. May they stand boldly together, firm in their faith, at this Armageddon.
The PB seems to be ignoring any canonical or moral boundaries on whatever authority she might have. I wonder if she would dare depose them all.
I hope the bishops call for the Episcopal Church to repent from its rampant sin and immorality.
1. She would, Ralph.
It is just farcical. The ‘offense’ of these good bishops is that they have not kowtowed to the version of TEC’s polity as it may be expounded [and varied as their whim dictates from time to time] by the odious lawyers from Goodwin Proctor. Instead these good bishops have insisted on the Constitution of ECUSA laid down over several hundred years and the rights of dioceses, priests and laity. They are the last remnant of the very fine and mission-minded church which ECUSA was when we were proud of our American cousins instead of embarrassed and appalled by their awful current leadership.
It is also farcical that this kangaroo court is leading to the laughable ‘conciliation’ process put together by Gollum Booth-Beers for his precious client, and the ‘conciliator’ appointed by the Wicked Witch of the West is a criminal prosecutor. Folks, you are a joke and a disgrace and it shows just how worried you are to see the panic and abuse you are handing out.
Stand firm gentlemen, stand up for the Truth and Christ’s church against the whiles of the other bloke. Do not cave to the satanic attack you are subject to. You have my prayers. Satan has been defeated, and all he can do is threaten, bribe and rage. Send him and his agents packing.
Down with the Witch. Aslan is on the move.
One has to hope that Mr Jefferts-Schori keeps his hands clear of the kitchen surfaces as his wife is practicing her ‘conciliation’ skills by stabbing the vegetables to death. It can’t be the easiest life.
If you were Gollum or KJS looking to pick a conciliator who is not a stooge who would you choose?
Would you choose a Christian? Would you consider someone on the Board of Advisors of a Muslim women lawyers group? That might fit in nicely with the PB’s inclusive view of there being ‘many ways to god/s’.
What ‘conciliation’ skills should this ‘conciliator’ bring to the table?
[blockquote]His principal academic publications have focused on prosecution, the criminal trial process, and the Confrontation Clause[/blockquote]
What about work interests?
[blockquote]he has taught criminal law, evidence, criminal procedure, litigation skills, and trial advocacy[/blockquote]
Yup, hard to think of a more conciliatory skillset.
Perhaps we need to know a bit more about the candidate’s experience he brings to the conciliation process?
[blockquote]Professor Douglass served as an Assistant United States Attorney and as Chief of the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in Richmond[/blockquote]
Outstanding Schori-conciliation CV, but why not go all the way and find someone like this admirably qualified Episcopal Conciliator? He really was a class act.
There is a more balanced report, and prayer request from Cheryl Wetzel here than that from Episco-Pravda.
According to KJS, loyalty to TEC (and to her personally, evidently) is more important than loyalty to Christ and His Church, and that’s why these nine bishops are on her hit list. Keep the Faith, gentlemen!
