Leaders of the U.S. Episcopal Church have stepped up a crackdown on conservative dissidents, ordering one bishop to stop his religious work and threatening a second with the same thing.
Both rebuffed the moves.
The worldwide Anglican church and its U.S. branch have been fractured since 2003 when the Episcopal Church consecrated Gene Robinson of New Hampshire as the first bishop known to be in an openly gay relationship in over four centuries.
So who was the one four centuries ago?
Oooooooooo! An Episcopal crackdown! Someone’s cracking down other than the Vatican! Who would have ever imagined such a press meme?
Does anyone think that we of St Alban’s Anglican Church in Los Banos, CA honestly think that we’ll kowtow to “that woman” and leave our property? Fat chance! We’re a small mission with a big future ahead of us, and we’re planning to build a new campus in town. Our present property…..which we’ve occupied for over fifty years…..is on the market, and the diocese bought six acres for us three years ago, on which to build. We’re ready for the fight!

Schori is disciplining those who have been obedient to the creed claiming that they are diobedient simply because they will not let her and her cronies change things to suit their whims….

Reuters did not adhere to the Schori-Beers Script and instead wrote in a way that will gain the “conservative dissidents” sympathy. Reuters will not be invited to the next 815 whine and cheese event.
