Won’t be able to come, won’t be able to watch. I’ll be Worship Leader at a lay service for our Parish soup kitchen. Adding the Bishop and Dio. to the prayer list.
Prayers that after this long period of uncertainty that your diocese and your new bishop will be renewed in His strength in your mission of bringing the Word to the people of South Carolina and the world.
Thanks, Dr. Harmon, sir. As I said above, I have not been following the news releases and the question was not asked with inquisitorial intent. (Though Pageantmaster’s playfulness was starting to get me wondering.) Hope everything goes smoothly. Am sure it will.
Prayers ascend on behalf of the Bishop Elect, the diocese, and all who plan to attend. May the holy spirit bless and guide all this special day for the Diocese of South Carolina and the one holy catholic and apostolic church.
Congrats to the Diocese of SC for playing within the rules even when the playing field seem tilted. Longsuffering is a Christian virtue and the diocese may need even more in the trying time ahead.
I also pray a Lambeth invitation is in the mail for the soon to be bishop and will be accepted. His voice is needed there. Now more than ever.
As an odd coincidence, the Diocese of Dallas will be ordaining two new deacons at the same time (10:00 am Central). In addition to the prayers for Bishop-elect Lawrence, please pray for Marci and Anita as they become deacons in Christ’s one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church.
Livestreaming is nice, I just hope they record and archive it for folks who won’t be able to watch it at the time (me for instance). That doesn’t always happen with these sorts of things.
Just make sure you vote before you go to the party, at least those of you who didn’t vote last Saturday. 😉

I haven’t been following the news releases on the consecration with regularity. Who will be the principal consecrator?
Christ?
Funny Pageantmaster, but you know what i was actually asking.
I can guess wacky wabbit – on second thoughts it is probably the Holy Spirit
Passing through whose hands, Pageantmaster?
This question has been answered before. The chief consecrator is the Bishop of East Carolina.

Playful – Moi?
I join LB in his wishes – I am sure it will be a joyful occasion.
