On the one hand, most of the bishops’ time was taken up with discussion in what were called “Indaba” discussion groups of about 40 bishops each in which the focus was listening and mutual understanding. “It was a great success,” he said.
But there were also presentations made by the Windsor Continuation Group, a committee of three Primates, two other bishops, and a retired Dean, which the Archbishop of Canterbury set up and charged with finding a “way forward” for the Communion based on the 2004 Windsor Report.
Bishop Ingham said he felt the Windsor Continuation Group demonstrated “rigidity and a lack of wisdom.”
“The primary mindset of the Windsor Group is conformity or exclusion. As yet they display no capacity for creating space, only for taking it away.”
With all due respect to Ingham, if the diocese had been “considering deeply” before they acted, we might not be in such a mess now. I also wonder if “rigidity and lack of wisdom” simply means “disagreement with my obviously far more enlightened and correct position.”
What a loathsome cretin. Here the Archbishop of Canterbury goes to all the trouble to run interference for Schori and Ingham by neutering Lambeth, and all this creep can do is bellyache.
Hey…..Bishop Ingham! I’ve got news for you: Quit your bellyaching! Accept the fact that you lost!
To the reappraiser, any thought or action that demonstrates a reasserting view is rigid and lacking in wisdom. “Why, if they would just open their minds and hearts, they would see the superior value of our view”.
Balderdash and nonsense. This is why the “listening process” has not worked, and will not work. The only “logical” outcome to a reappraiser is capitulation of the reasserter to their views.

These boneheads only have 3 words in their vocabulary: Diversity, Inclusion; Deep or Deeply. Dilbert needs to leave the corporate world and go into the corporate theology field.
#5 Dilbert suffered a blow to his head which destroyed his moral compass and he was being promoted into management. When he recovered he was immediately returned to worker status. Substitute management for bishop and worker for layity, same difference.
What a farce! Western Canada isn’t going to provide a response that offers anything new or cogent. It is going to ignore Windsor, distain clergy and laity who consider homosex a sin (among many sins), and continue to agitate for the Church to change into something other than the Church.
