The Rt. Rev. Gladstone B. Adams, Bishop of the Diocese of Central New York, stated, “It is unfortunate that the facts regarding the charges were unable to be heard in an open court. My concerns and prayers remain with the members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church as they seek to be faithful to God’s call to ministry in their community.â€
It’s unfortunate that +Skip was responsible for the ‘facts’ not being heard.
”A criminal investigation by the Charities Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General remains on-going in this matter.”
Interesting last little snippet. One wonders if that is the court the Bishop was wanting to begin with so he could just simply dispense with following the canons and having an ecclesiatical court at all.

Sounds like the Inquisition is alive and well. The foulest criminals in our courts have the right of evidence presentation.
The “well, he is guilty but the ecclesiastical courts wouldn’t let us call our witnesses” line is totally unbecoming of the bishop or his spokesman.
