Steven Waldman: Inaugural Prayers Through History

I learned a lot reading through these yesterday. I would caution readers that I do not know about their accuracy but what I do know is that Cardinal Cushing’s 1961 prayer is NOT accurate because it is missing the initial invocation of the Trinity and I happened to catch him doing that yesterday on CSPAN. Read them all and tell us your observations–KSH.
